Any project created in ReleaseOwl can be associated with an external system like JIRA.
Once a project in ReleaseOwl is integrated with an external system, you can sync the Sprints, User Stories, and Backlogs.
You can also create Sprints, User Stories, and Backlogs directly in ReleaseOwl.
Syncing Sprints
To sync the sprints from an external system like JIRA, click Sync Sprints.
Once the sync is completed, the sprints created in the external system will appear in the ReleaseOwl app.
Click the Create Sprint link.
Enter the Sprint Name and click Save.
The status of the sprint that is currently active or has already started will appear as Active.
Sprints that are in the pipeline will appear as Draft.
The Start Date and End Date of the active sprint appear under their respective columns in the grid.
The following actions can be performed on a sprint:
Edit
Allows editing of Sprint Name, Start Date, and End Date. Note: Only applicable for sprints created in ReleaseOwl, not synced sprints.
Start Sprint
Used to start a sprint that has not yet started. Note: Only available for sprints created in ReleaseOwl, not synced from external systems.
Complete Sprint
Completes an active sprint. Note: Only applicable for sprints created in ReleaseOwl, not those synced from external systems.
User Stories
Navigates to the User Stories associated with the sprint. Allows syncing from external systems or creating new user stories within ReleaseOwl.
Cancel Sprint
Cancels a sprint if the sprint goal becomes obsolete. Can be used at any time.
